OKLAHOMA CITY —
Oklahoma City began construction on a pedestrian bridge near an up-and-coming part of the city.
A bridge from the north side of the Oklahoma River will be built near the new OKANA Resort, bringing the city one step closer to better walkability for residents.
“What it’s really there is to connect the north side and the south side of the river. There’s not a whole lot of convenient locations where you can cross over,” David Todd, the MAPS program manager, said. “This will be a crossing that will be pedestrian only. Bikes and pedestrians.”
