Nebraska Gov. Says Highway Project Key to ‘Efficiency’

Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen (R) (above) recently described the state’s much-anticipated expansion of Interstate 80 from Lincoln to Pleasant Dale, which begins this spring and will be completed in 2026, is a “crucial step” in efforts to boost transportation efficiency statewide.

At a press event, the governor noted in a statement that I-80 is a “vital artery” that not only connects Nebraska regionally but is one of the highest-traveled corridors in the country; connecting the east and west coasts.
